History
Chewbacchus was founded by Ryan Ballard in 2010 and first rolled in 2011. It is a walking krewe of science-fiction and fantasy fans in costume, organised in sub-krewes, with small home-built floats and lit-up droids. By 2018 it had more than 2,600 members.
